Happy Spring !!!
Finally some riding Weather!!! Hope everyone is out
enjoying their horses and getting ready for this years
upcoming events.
This month will be a busy one for many of our youth
members. Schooling shows have been in full swing for the
last couple weeks and this month is our show here in
Spokane. To prepare for the upcoming show season we will
be having a grooming clinic and trail ride here at my
house in Deer Park on May 10th. We will be showing you how
to prepare your horse for the show ring from hoof polish
to ear clipping. We will meet at 1pm and try to hit the
trail by 2pm. We will have our May meeting at that time.
We will be discussing voting in a Youth President, Vice
President, youth campout, and revised calendars. Since
this is Mother's day weekend we would like to encourage
all the moms to come and be a part of the ride and stay
for dinner! Please let me know if you need a horse and what
riding ability you are at. We may have a horse or two to
lend out. All riders and parents must sign a waiver
WASHINGTON STATE IS A "RIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK STATE"!
May is horse show month for the IEAHC! We will be hosting
back to back class A shows at the Spokane Fairgrounds on
May 22-25. This is the big fundraiser for the youth group
so please plan to bed stalls Tuesday May 20 before the
show. We meet at 4:30pm at the fairgrounds. Pizza dinner
to follow.
If you have a drawing, painting, short story or poem you
would like to submit for the Art contest please bring it
along or mail it to me. We will have voting throughout the
show and a Champion and Reserve Champion will be awarded
at the end of the show.
